We wish we could tell you about the secret project that we've been working on for the last three years... But we can't!
Suffice to say that it was our most ambitious project to date, for our biggest client, involving body-tracking AR suit-up experiences, projection mapped characters, and an AR App using the latest room-mapping technology.
Disney Japan were keen to feature our Hulkbuster AR Body-tracking Experience on the Marvel stand, taking pride of place at this year's Comic Con in Tokyo. We worked closely with them to make this happen, and not needing much of an excuse to jet off to Tokyo we also offered our assistance to help them run the experience.
The Marvel stand was very busy as expected, with fans from all over Japan and further afield. The Hulkbuster Experience proved to be extremely popular indeed, with 648 people participating over the three days. We returned to the UK feeling thoroughly exhausted, but very satisfied to have given the fans a memorable experience.
Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. London is the highly anticipated multi-room immersive experience, offering fans of all ages the opportunity to delve into the super-workings and back-story of each of The Avengers as they train to become an agent of the S.T.A.T.I.O.N.
S.T.A.T.I.O.N. an acronym for Science Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network, where guests will step inside the popular films and become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe storyline, whether trying to lift Thor's hammer or taking a sneaky peak at Bruce Banner's Lab.
We are pleased to report that our Hulkbuster AR Body-tracking Experience is one of the featured attractions, with two dedicated booths setup to enable visitors to virtually suit-up as Iron Man and go on to battle Ultron's Drones in the Hulkbuster suit.
We were surprised and delighted to have won at the UXUK Awards last night for our Emoji Movie VR Experience.
The User Experience UK (UXUK) Awards was established in 2013 to recognise excellence in user-focused digital or service design. The Awards celebrate the great and innovative UX offerings from organisations that take pride in creating the best possible online or multi-channel experiences.
We firmly believe that providing a great user experience is at the heart of good VR, and we always strive to achieve this. It is very pleasing for our efforts to be acknowledged, especially by such a high-calibre judging panel.
Star Wars: A New Hope was presented live in concert for the first time in the UK. Shown in high-definition on the big screen, and accompanied live by the London Symphony Orchestra and conductor Ludwig Wicki - taking John Williams' epic score to a breath-taking new dimension.
To keep guests entertained pre-show and during intervals, we were asked by Disney to setup and run two VR installations - one at the door and one in the VIP lounge in the Gallery. Guests could choose to play Trials on Tatooine or Droid Repair Bay - both high-end VR Experiences, created by ILMxLAB, and using the latest HTC Vive headsets.
In order to provide a premium guest experience, the headsets were sterilised between plays with Cleanbox - an industry-leading solution utilizing UV-C light that eradicates 99% of bacteria, virus and fungi in a short 1-minute cleaning cycle.
The VR Experiences definitely drew the crowds, and were very well received by all, enhancing an already amazing Star Wars extravaganza for the fans!
