Disney: Star Wars 360° VR, Rogue One

Working in partnership with Disney, ILMxLAB, and 20ten, Apache developed an all-new 360° Virtual Reality stand-alone experience set in the universe of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

As an X-wing pilot flying for the Rebellion, players are transported and immersed in the vastness of space with only their R2 unit and wingman by their side. What starts as a routine mission for Mon Mothma takes an unexpected turn as a surprise Imperial presence is stumbled upon.

In addition to the Virtual Reality experience, Apache developed a stereoscopic 3D trailer of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which travelers to Gatwick Airport from the 23rd of November can experience inside of a VR-enabled Rebel X-wing pilot helmet. At Gatwick until January 17th, the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story experiential activity is expected to reach 5.3 million people.

This activation more than delivers against all [its] objectives. It also demonstrates the scale of reach we can deliver to brand partners such as Disney and Lucasfilm and the value of being able to directly target a truly international audience in the airport environment.
